Top-siders come in different types and categories

Sperry Top-siders do not only come in the classical Top-sider style everyone knows about, there are now many different types for men, women and children. If you are unsure of the kind you are looking for, try dividing Top-siders into three different categories, this will help you find that right one for you, then go for the style you like.

Who wouldn’t recognize a classic Sperry shoe? The traditional one made of leather or canvas, where elegance and the outdoors meet; these have been around for decades now and will never go out of fashion both in the boating world and out.

You can find Sperry Top-siders to meet different needs, but basically they all fall into three different categories, being two-eyelets, three-eyelets and slip-ons.

Slip-ons are the more practical of the three kinds, though if you do have a high arch they can be difficult to slip on at times, but in general they will hug your feet nicely and are very practical to put on.

Two-eyelet shoes can be laced to fit as you wish, although most people actually slip these on as well, once they’ve found the right shoelace tightness. Two-eyelet Top-siders have a very good shoelace that entirely encircles the ankle around the opening of the shoe; this allows you to tighten the shoe around the heel for a perfect fit.

Three-eyelet Top-siders are ideal for those who have high arched feet, as the longer tongues and laces will provide a wider opening to slip your foot in. These kinds of shoes are particularly well designed to allow for a perfect fit as well as providing an excellent sole for adherence on slippery surfaces.

Let us not forget that the main reason Top-siders are so popular is due to the quality of their soles. The sole of a shoe is just as important, if not more so than the design. The soles of cheaper or imitation sperry shoes will feel gummy when you first buy them, but soon these soles tend to harden and will lose their grip. Top-siders have oil and UV resistance on their soles for more endurance. It is practically impossible to discern whether a rubber sole is of good quality when its new, that is why when you purchase a Sperry Top-sider you are sure you are going for quality and as well as a long lasting shoe.

Once you have chosen the category that best fits your foot and standards, you then have a wide range of models and styles to choose from.

How do I keep my Sperry’s leather shoe lace from untying so frequently?

I love my Sperry top-siders and wear them almost everyday. The problem is that the leather shoe lace keeps untying every time I go out. I’ve tried tying it really tightly, but it inevitably falls apart after 10 minutes. Is there a way to keep them put?

you can wear a boot,not a shoe
